MEET THE FEATURED AUTHORS

LAM SUMMER READING CHALLENGE KICKOFF – JUNE 1, 7 P.M. (CDT)

Joy E. Rancatore

Joy E. Rancatore

June 22-28

Joy is an award-winning, multi-genre Indie Author focused on writing the soul with heart through Southern fiction with Christian roots, nonfiction writings and fantasy stories, while providing experiences that bring readers and authors together to #ShareTheRead.

She is the author of six currently published books, with many more on the way, and an ever-growing number of short stories.

Animal Vignettes: True Stories of Friendship will be her first published book of narrative nonfiction.

Julie Mayerson Brown

Julie Mayerson Brown

July 13-19

Julie is a California girl, originally from the San Fernando Valley. She lives in Palos Verdes (a suburb of Los Angeles) where she and her husband raised two sons, rescued many dogs, hosted countless backyard BBQs, and chased away hundreds of wild peacocks.

When not writing, Julie is scrambling around the house—picking up after her dogs, gardening with little success, and giving her now adult sons as much advice as they’ll tolerate. She’s also an excellent cook (at least she thinks so), a consumer of too much coffee, and a tireless bargain shopper. Her favorite store is TJMaxx.

One Last Dance is the last book in her Clearwater Series.

Carole Lehr Johnson

Carole Lehr Johnson

July 20-26

A true Anglophile, Carole loves all things British, thus her branding, Tea Time for the Heart, revolves around U.K.-based fiction for lovers of tea and scones, castles and cottages, and more. Her love of the U.K. has taken her across the pond many times to explore its gorgeous landscapes and architecture as she conducts research for her novels.

Other than writing, she enjoys involvement with church ministries, photography, cooking, gardening, genealogy, travel, and a spot of tea.

Woven in the Mist is her latest dual timeline/split time novel set in the Scottish highlands.
