Welcome to 12 Months of Reading! Each month in 2024, I will host a different reading challenge category. These categories are broad, and, chances are, whatever you’re reading may fit in them.
March’s theme is a book set in the Southern United States. I’m a big fan of this category since I have an entire collection of “Southern fiction with Christian roots.” Discover more about Carolina’s Legacy Collection on this page.
Any Good Thing follows Jack Calhoun as he battles alcoholism, depression, PTSD and himself. His journey carries him from his rural hometown to Iraq’s desert and on to the mountaintops of North Carolina. It’s a story of mind, heart and soul and the unlikely friends he encounters along the way.
My other recommendations for you come highly recommended as great reads by kind authors. Check out my reviews of each linked below:
Healing Skye by Mississippi author Janet W. Ferguson
Final 42 by Texas author Christy Decker
A Bed of Roses by Louisiana author Ann Marie Jameson
